Divide and conquer, is what they say.
Designing machines for specific tasks, each one able to perform a different task that complements one another instead of attempting to build a single machine that can do it all. This approach simplifies the design and testing of the solutions while providing a minimum investment of time and resources for developing.
Having this frame of mind, we designed Y-Bot, another type of printer on wheels that is capable of handling more weight and it can act as a universal CNC on wheels.
This concept boasts an unlimited “Y” axis travel, originally intended to print things like doors and window frames, but can be modified to act as a CNC or be used for other purposes like printing handicap ramps, tiles or fencing.
